Showing a new player in factions how to play.
About 10 minutes in, we enter Panjiang Peninsula and he goes "Oh, is this wear I farm SFs to I make money?"
I was like "what?"
and he replies "I heard some guys in the starter town talking about SF farming"

some team we faced said we were deaded after trying to 60 us. they'd just wipe us and then say "DEADED!" repeatedly while sitting on the res shrine.

I think there's a lot of in-game dynamics that a lot of us don't stumble on until later. Only recently, after playing since the release, did I learn that you could split up stack of items using the Shift key. I'm also surprised how many traders are always asking "where are you?", not knowing that you can just cut and paste or type someone's username in the party search window to find them in an outpost. My guild doesn't know this either because we play hide and seek a lot and almost all of them will be running around in circles in outposts looking for the "hide-ee".

My assassin is often called coward in Fort Aspenwood because I run in, kill someone and then dash away for recharging. Also when opponent has some kind of block skill or something which ruins my combo. Why I should stay in hopeless fight and die? There is so much hate for assassins in general. Never got that crap with mesmer or maybe rarely when opponent is dying from degen and trying to catch me for heal like Ether Feast, but fails and die.

few days ago in RA, i was in a team with an aotl nec with all mm skills. after getting his 2 minions, he rushed straight in. i played magebane, and i shut down the mes (who appeared to have 0 fast casting and playing vor). after we lose, the nec just says 'rupting is stupid' to me. i didn't say anything... just stared blankly at the screen for a few secs and left.

I dunno, I think the best part of playing mes is to have other players curse and swear at you XD

You can drop gold on the ground? I never knew that. Never even occurred to me to try. Can't see any reason for doing it, except for messing with the "Now, drop your item on the ground" scammers. But a wood plank works just as well for that.

Drag and drop it out. A single gold coin makes a handy marker for traps. Anything will do, like your example of a wood plank.
